On behalf of all ABSS members I would like to welcome all new and continuing students to the 2009 academic year. Studying at the University of Adelaide offers many great academic opportunities, however this is only a part of the University experience.
The Adelaide Business Students’ Society (‘ABSS’) exists to provide its members with all of the non-academic splendours the can be had whilst studying at the University of Adelaide. Through social and professional events the ABSS provides members with opportunities to network with their 2000+ fellow business students and meet key people from the business industry. The Society welcomes all who want to participate and who have innovative new ideas to benefit the life of the business student on campus.
All Bachelor of Finance and Bachelor of Commerce students are automatically members of the ABSS. Membership is also open to students of other disciplines – check out our website for further information. Get involved with the organisation itself and speak to any member of the executive for more information.
2009 is shaping up to be an exciting year; on the horizon are a number of changes within the Business School and the Faculty of Professions, a whole range of new social activities, great new benefits for members, new career initiatives, competitions for members and the affiliation with the newly created Australasian Commerce & Economics Students’ Association. Become involved!

Also be sure to register and post on the forums as they are a great source of information. Next time you see one of us, whether in a lecture, on our way to work or on the dance floor, come up to us and say hello. We look forward to hearing from you and your involvement with the ABSS.
