AUMC has a regular night of discounted indoor climbing at the Vertical Reality indoor climbing gym. On Tuesday and Thursday nights only, AUMC members presenting a current AUMC membership card receive climbing for just $9 (including harness hire or use of an AUMC harness). New climbers who haven?t visited the gym previously are also required to do an introductory belaying session (for an additional $5), and will then be given a belay card for future visits. Shoe hire is available for a few dollars extra, however you can save money by getting a pair from the gear room (free of hire charges) before you go to the gym.

The gym is located at 12/560 North East Road, Holden Hill SA (Ph: 8266 4090). To get there from the city, take bus number 505, 506 or 507 and get off at stop # 29B. (Route maps and timetables are available at http://www.adelaidemetro.com.au). AUMC Climbing Officer Derek Bredl will be at the gym on most Tuesday and Thursday nights.
